About Entr’Acte Theatrix
Musical theatre in Palm Beach County.
How we started
Vicki Halmos founded Palm Beach Principal Players in 1999 at the Creative Stage on Lucerne Avenue in Lake Worth. The company gave young actors and theatre makers opportunities to work onstage and backstage.
As those performers grew older and wanted to continue, Entr’Acte Theatrix evolved to help them take the next step toward professional theatre.
Our name comes from the music that introduces a show’s second act.
Opportunities for performers
Entr’Acte brings emerging performers together with experienced directors, choreographers, and musical directors. Our productions give actors stage experience, professional contacts, and work to build their résumés.
Our repertoire includes family musicals, contemporary shows, and new interpretations of familiar titles. We also aim to introduce younger audiences to live musical theatre.
A home in Lake Worth
Over the years, our productions have appeared at venues across Palm Beach County, including the Kravis Center, the Crest Theatre at Old School Square, the Willow Theatre, and the William G. Skaff Center.
In 2026, we announced a permanent home at 805 Lucerne Avenue in Lake Worth Beach. Mary Poppins, opening November 13, is our first production in the new space.
